Beachmere doesn’t feel like the rest of Moreton Bay, and locals will usually tell you that within about five minutes of meeting you. The pace is slower, the foreshore gets more foot traffic than the shops most days, and word of mouth still does more heavy lifting here than any paid ad campaign ever could.

That’s exactly why a decent flyer or a stack of business cards left on the café counter tends to punch above its weight. Builders, landscapers, marine mechanics and home maintenance operators are among our regulars, along with the cafés and small retailers on the main strip who need menus, posters and promotional flyers kept current.

Community groups keep the printer running too. Beachmere’s sporting clubs, schools and volunteer groups run several fundraisers a year between them, and each one seems to need banners, raffle tickets or certificates at some point, usually with about a week’s notice if we’re honest.

It’s a small town in the best sense. Everyone seems to know everyone, and that means print with your name on it tends to travel further than you’d expect for such a quiet stretch of the bay. A good sign out the front of a ute or a stack of cards on the counter at the general store still counts for something here.
